About Bunz
Bunz is a photographer who seeks the raw, shadowed moments of city life. His images hold tension and silence in the same frame. He focuses on composition, light and form. He shoots only in black and white, so each image reads like a stubborn fragment of film. Color does not exist in his work. Only light and shadow.
He does not stage. He waits. Light, weather and chance shape what appears. He stays out of the way. The result is unposed, unscripted and quietly relentless.
His pictures strip away context to leave shape, edge and weight. They ask the viewer to slow down and notice the small ruptures and soft courtesies that pass in an instant. The tone is austere and human, cinematic without artifice.
